Joanne Hindle is the owner and founder of Hindle's School of Excellence Ltd.
Introducing myself, I am a qualified teacher with a Masters in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education together with 11 years of experience of working in further education as a teacher and course leader having worked at Bury College, The Oldham College, Liverpool Community College, Nelson & Colne College, The Birtenshaw Group and The Manchester College. I currently work at Hopwood College and have also embarked on my own venture.
Throughout the years I have taught A-Level Psychology, BTEC/CACHE Health and Social Care, Access to HE, GCSE and Functional Skills in English and Maths. I have a degree in English/Psychology and a Masters in Inclusive Education and SEN provision.
The reason for setting up my own provision was due to tutoring in the community for 6 years offering home tuition which led to the need to expand to meet the demands of the children and to provide more opportunities to meet their individual needs. Previously to teaching, I was a Senior Paralegal in a Manchester law firm with 12 years legal expertise.
Turning next to my employees, I have a team of qualified KS1/KS2/KS3/GCSE/A-level teachers who are vocational experts working in the health and social sector who teach alongside their own specialised professional practise. In addition, I have a qualified Counsellor and Mentors who offer humanistic therapies and mentoring together with Phd, Masters and degree students studying medicine, pharmacy, history, electrical engineering and computer science who have provided years of tutoring alongside studying. This variety of expertise will provide an invaluable wealth of knowledge and life experiences to share and promote positive role models, as they highlight the benefits of a positive attitude to learning.
Provision provided will be individual learning plans and regular assessments. Classes will be taught in line with the National Curriculum for differing examination boards and pathways. There will be mixed classes of up to 12 learners, small groups and one to ones. Lessons can also be tailor made linked to school requirements (ie; if you were to notify me of the semester/term topics these can be incorporated into lesson specific for students who need extra support and learning) workshop, study skills and exam practice are also available. With 11 years of working with SEN students and in an alternative provision at The Birtenshaw Group we offer Bespoke learning, play therapy and a variety of SEN strategies so all students are supported in relation to their individual needs and preferences.
In relation to online provision all subjects are available online via Microsoft Teams in the comfort of your own homes and in the light of the current pandemic COVID 19 ensures a much needed continuity of learning. I am also working in collaboration with The Skills Network so you can enrol online for CPD training.
As this is a new venture and my school has become a limited company, I only have two years of success rates but from mine and my professional team we have an extensive teaching background of endless success stories.
Overall, I hope this information provides a little more clarity as to what my school offers and if you are interested in booking in for a free initial lesson to engage in a taster session so you can meet the staff and have a look around the school then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
